Native American Affairs Programs
Through direct participation, training, and partnering, the Yuma Area Office provides financial and technical assistance to local Arizona and southern California Indian Tribes in the field of water resource development and management. The goal of the technical assistance program is to establish cooperative working relationships with the Tribes which enable the Tribe to take advantage and benefit from Reclamation's technical expertise and resources.
The Yuma Area Office works with the following Tribes:
- Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians
- Augustine Band of Mission Indians
- Cabazon Band of Mission Indians
- Chemehuevi Indian Tribe
- Colorado River Indian Tribes
- Cocopah Indian Tribe
- Fort Mojave Indian Tribe
- Fort Yuma Quechan Indian Tribe
- Morongo Band of Mission Indians
- Santa Rosa Band of Mission Indians
- Torres Martinez Desert Cahuilla Indians
