Technical Reports and Data Downloads
The following links will allow you to obtain peer-reviewed technical reports and data from fishery research investigations conducted at the Tracy Fish Collection Facility and the Red Bluff Research Pumping Plant. Contact J. Carl Dealy if you need recent preliminary data unavailable from the following links, or if you have a slow internet connection and would prefer a report or CD-ROM with data mailed to you.
Peer-reviewed technical reports of fishery and engineering investigations performed at the TFCF. Browse the abstracts or download full reports in Adobe Acrobat PDF format.
Technical Bulletins differ from Tracy Series Reports in being released solely on the Tracy website for timely sharing of data and are not peer-reviewed. Browse the abstracts or download full reports in Adobe Acrobat PDF format.
Peer-reviewed technical hydraulic engineering reports related to the activities at the TFCF generated by the Hydraulic Investigations and Laboratory Services Group at the Technical Service Center in Denver, PhD dissertations, and associated technical reports.
Download our validated water quality data. These data are available in summary tables, Excel files, Access files, or ASCII comma delimited files. We have 7-years of basic water quality data (temperature, pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, and turbidity), measured with a recording multiprobe in the intake channel of the TFCF. We have water quality data tables for inorganic chemistry and herbicides and pesticides from discrete and compositie sampling events near the TFCF. We also have supplemental data tables for comparison with water quality data including agricultural chemicals applied near the TFCF, tides, streamflow, precipitation, and temporary delta barrier status. If you have any specific needs for our water quality data, please email J. Carl Dealy or call at (209) 836-6236, to convey your data needs.
Fish Salvaged at the TFCF: 3-Year Summary
This table summarizes the species and numbers of fish salvaged at the TFCF for the period of April 1, 2000 through March 31, 2003. Average pumping at the C.W. “Bill” Jones Pumping Plant was 2,480,000 acre-ft/year and total fish salvage was 6,520,000 fish/year during this 3-year period. Daily salvage estimates were based on 10-minute counts performed at the TFCF and reported to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
