Surface Water Intake Fish Screens and Fish Passage (SWISP) Project
Virtual Public Meeting
The Surface Water Intake Fish Screens and Fish Passage (SWISP) Project held public meetings through a web-based virtual environment from November 20, 2020 to January 4, 2021.
Visitors to the virtual meeting room were able to:
- Move from station to station to view project information and meeting materials;
- Provide comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement;
- Read frequently asked questions and answers and pose additional questions for Reclamation.
The virtual meeting room website was optimized for mobile access, which enabled users to utilize the meeting features on their phones as well as a computer.

Question and Answer/Public Comment Video Teleconferences
Two Q&A/Public Comment video teleconferences provided the public several additional opportunities to participate in the DEIS public comment process. The Q&A/Public Comment video teleconferences were held on December 8 and 10, 2020. A brief overview of the project was presented, and subject matter experts from Reclamation and the USFWS were available to answer questions about the project. In additional, the public had the opportunity to record their comments during the final segment of the video teleconference.
