Starting June 3, 2024, the Shasta Dam Visitors Center will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Please be advised that our Tour Elevator is out of service until further notice. We value the safety of our visitors and appreciate the time you spend stopping at Shasta Dam. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.
Top of Shasta Dam Tour with a Tour Guide
During the Tour Elevator shutdown, we will be offering Top of the Dam Tours. Our Reclamation Guide takes visitors across the top of the dam, presenting the history of the construction of the dam, as well as the power plant operations, the temperature control device, and overview of the Central Valley Project.
