    The Snow Water Supply Forecasting Program aims to enhance snow monitoring and subsequent water supply forecasts to the benefit of water management. The Program uses external grant opportunities to help achieve this goal. Eligible applicants include water districts, irrigation districts, water associations, universities, State agencies,  private sector entities, non-governmental organizations, and any combination of the entities listed above.

    (March 28, 2024) The Bureau of Reclamation is making a minimum of 3 million available for emerging snow monitoring technologies. Each selected project is eligible to receive between $300,000 - $999,999 and must include the implementation of aerial LiDAR snow surveys.
