The 7th Annual WIN (Water Treatment Innovations and Networking) Workshop, hosted by the Bureau of Reclamation's Brackish Groundwater National Desalination Research Facility (BGNDRF), has successfully concluded.

The WIN Workshop provides a platform for BGNDRF research clients to showcase their groundbreaking work and share insights with a diverse audience of researchers, experts, industry professionals, and stakeholders. The technical presentations offered excellent opportunities for learning and collaboration, showcasing the many exciting innovations in our community.

This year's event featured a keynote presentation by Paul Choules titled "No Two Waters are the Same," which addressed the unique challenges and solutions in water treatment. Attendees also participated in engaging panel discussions on the One Water concept and the history of BGNDRF. These discussions fostered insightful conversations about innovations in desalination and impaired water treatment, emphasizing the importance of effectively communicating these messages to a wider audience.

Networking opportunities were a highlight of the workshop. Participants connected with emerging water treatment innovators during a student poster session. Attendees also forged new and strengthened existing relationships with research collaborators, potential customers, investors, and partners, all of which contribute to advancing innovation in water treatment.

Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to the workshop’s success. We look forward to welcoming you to future events at BGNDRF!

Tentative dates for the 8th Annual WIN Workshop are October 22
and 23, 2025.
