The Midway Creek Diversion Dam is located on Midway Creek, 7 miles east of Aspen, Colorado. The spillway is a gated structure with an 8-foot diversion channel leading to an 8-foot-diameter vertical shaft. The Sluiceway is a 10- by 12-foot cast iron radial gate with a walled channel. The headworks is a 5-foot-square cast iron slide gate with motor-operated lift and stem.
