Picnic Area at Wild Rose Park
Wild Rose Park is a 11.3-acre site just downstream of Black Canyon Dam along Highway 52. The park is on the site of the construction camp used while the Dam was being built. The park is situated at the edge of and overlooking the river on a gentle slope with large grassy areas and numerous shade trees. The park is open dawn to dusk year round. The restrooms are kept open year-round, primarily because of the park’s role as a rest stop for highway travelers.
Park amenities include:
- Individual picnic tables.
- Group picnic gazebo.
- Small gazebo.
- Pedestal barbeques.
- Potable water.
- Four flush toilets.
The group picnic gazebo and small gazebo are available to rent together for $125/day. The small gazebo has electric power and is popular for weddings as it is in a picturesque spot under mature shade trees. The picnic gazebo has electric power, is popular for wedding receptions, group picnics, family reunions, and can accommodate approximately 50 people.
