A&B Irrigation District Title Transfer
The A&B Irrigation District (A&B) operates and maintains the North Side Pumping Division (NSPD), built by Reclamation between 1952 and 1960. The system was then turned over to A&B in 1966. Facilities have been operated and maintained to continue to provide water users to their constituents, which has resulted in the moving, replacing, and/or upgrading the existing facilities. Reclamation is investigating the historic significance of these features to the Minidoka Project and local area under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, which requires the federal government to take into consideration actions that might affect important historic resources by their projects. Click here for more information on the history of these facilities and to learn more about the Section 106 process.
