Benton Irrigation District Water Conservation Program Environmental Assessment
The Bureau of Reclamation has issued an environmental assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for the Benton Irrigation District (BID) Water Conservation Program Feasibility Study.
The purpose of the conservation project is to make the BID system more efficient by moving the point of diversion 71 miles downstream where a pump station would be installed. The proposed project would completely abandon the existing system and replace it with a new pump-pressurized, buried pipeline distribution system.
