Lake Berryessa kayaking on September 10, 2016On Saturday, September 10, 2016, Bureau of Reclamation Park Rangers Dylan Dowe and Erica Calvo led nine enthusiastic paddlers on a Ranger-guided kayak program at beautiful Lake Berryessa, located just east of Napa, California.
The group departed from the Foxtail Flat beach at the Oak Shores Day Use Area and then traveled around Goat Island, Dufer Point and the Big Island before returning to Foxtail Flat.
Along the way, the Rangers explained why Lake Berryessa is a reservoir, its importance to California, and how its water impacts their everyday lives. The enjoyable paddle lasted 3 hours.
