Repair Work to Temporarily Close Palisades Dam Road

The Bureau of Reclamation will temporarily close the access road over Palisades Dam for on Tuesday, September 23, from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. while maintenance crews perform routine repair work at the dam located on the South Fork of the Snake River about 52 miles west of Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Those coming from Idaho Falls should take the Snake River Road at Conant Valley Bridge to access those areas on the other side of the river. Individuals driving in from the southeast can access the area by way of McCoy Creek Road. Drivers are asked to give themselves additional travel time in order to reach their usual destination on the other side of the Snake River.
