For Release: September 15, 2003

The Bureau of Reclamation, Pacific Northwest Region announced today that Internet website addresses for two of their sites will change, effective Friday, September 19.

The AgriMet site's new URL will be www.usbr.gov/pn/agrimet. The site presents information from a satellite-based network of automated agricultural weather stations. These stations, located in irrigated agricultural areas throughout the Pacific Northwest, provide data for crop water use modeling, agricultural research, frost monitoring, and integrated pest and fertility management.

The Hydromet site's new URL will be www.usbr.gov/pn/hydromet. This site presents water and environmental data for Reclamation-managed dams, reservoirs, and canals in the Pacific Northwest and provides near-real-time water management capability. Other information, as available, is integrated with Hydromet data to provide timely water supply status for river and reservoir operations.

For information or assistance with AgriMet in the Pacific Northwest, contact Peter Palmer or call 208-378-5283. For information or assistance with Hydromet in the Pacific Northwest, contact Jim Doty or call 208-378-5272.
