Federal Employees Provide Gifts for 300 Children and 50 Seniors Through "Gifts From The Heart" Program

For the sixteenth consecutive year, employees with the Bureau of Reclamations Mid-Pacific Region are participating in the Gifts From The Heart program, helping to make the holidays a little merrier for 300 children and 50 seniors in the greater Sacramento area.
Last Holiday Season, more than 4,000 children and 510 adults and seniors in Sacramento County received wrapped presents through this program; an estimated 13,500 gifts were distributed. Gifts From The Heart is coordinated by the Sacramento County Department of Health and Human Services, Child Protective Services. The media is invited to the Federal Building, 2800 Cottage Way, Cafeteria Conference Rooms C-1001/1002, Sacramento, California, on Monday, December 5, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. or on Tuesday, December 6, 2005, from 8 to 11 a.m. as volunteers sort and deliver the hundreds of wrapped gifts.
