Reclamation Awards $1.55 Million Contract for Hoover Dam Tour Ticketing & Merchandise Sales

Bureau of Reclamation Commissioner John W. Keys III announced today the award of a $1,550,120 million contract for the management of ticket sales, tour reservations, and sales of memorabilia at Hoover Dam.

The contract was awarded to Vegas.com of Las Vegas, Nevada.

This contract benefits Reclamation by allowing a vendor to manage tickets sales and specialty merchandise at Hoover Dam, allowing Reclamation staff to focus attention on water management, power generation, and guided tours, said Keys.

The contractor will provide on-site ticket sales and reservations; deliver pre-sold tour tickets to commercial carriers and the public; collect and remit fees for all tickets sold; provide informational brochures and fact sheets produced by Reclamation; and provide a telephone reservation system for providing general information and ticket sales.

In addition, the contractor will display and sell memorabilia, products, and publications furnished by Reclamation; provide all signage, equipment, and materials necessary to take and sell souvenir photographs; and develop a marketing and sales plan for the Hoover Dam Visitors Center.

Ticket and tour sales at the dam have been managed by a contractor since 2000. Admission tickets for the Hoover Dam Visitors Center and tours, souvenir photographs, and memorabilia are sold at the dam seven days a week, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas days.
