Reclamation Extends Comment Period on Navajo Reservoir Resource Management Plan and Draft Environmental Assessment

Reclamation announced today that it has extended the public comment period for the proposed Resource Management Plan (RMP) and draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for Navajo Reservoir. The purpose of the RMP is to provide managers with a framework to proactively manage resources and uses of lands within the Navajo Reservoir area, as well as, an assessment tool for evaluating the effects from these management actions.

Public input on the proposed RMP and the draft EA will be accepted for an additional 45-day period beginning October 25, 2005. Written comments are due to Alan Schroeder by December 9, 2005.
