Temporary Closures at New Melones Lake for Construction Projects

The Bureau of Reclamation announces that several New Melones Lake recreation areas will be closed temporarily for construction projects. The areas will be closed from 6 a.m. on Wednesday, October 26, through 5 p.m. on Friday, October 28, and again from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, October 31, 2005.

The areas closed during that time include the Table Mountain Trailhead from the end of the county-maintained road to the closure gate, a portion of Glory Hole parking lot, the upper loop of Acorn Campground, Natural Bridges parking lot and trail, and Camp 9 from the bridge crossing to Clarkes Flat. Concrete vault restroom facilities are being installed at each of these sites for public use, and each area will be reopened upon completion of the installation.
