The Bureau of Reclamation will be sending water down the Tyler Creek Wasteway bypass channel while the Green Springs Powerplant is shutdown for repair and maintenance work. The powerplant is located adjacent to Emigrant Creek about 10 miles southeast of Ashland, Oregon.

Due to low natural flow in Emigrant Creek water may need to be sent down the Tyler Creek Wasteway starting as early as April 19 and continuing until powerplant maintenance is completed in late May. Water from the wasteway will supplement natural flow in Emigrant Creek for use at the Talent Irrigation District's diversion dam. Reclamation has diverted water through the wasteway about five times since 1960.
