Reclamation Requests Input on the Draft Navajo Reservoir Environmental Assessment and Resouce Management Plan

Reclamation announced today that it has released the draft Environmental Assessment (EA) and proposed Resource Management Plan (RMP) for Navajo Reservoir for public review. The draft EA provides an overview of the management of lands and related resources, as well as, land and resource use within the Navajo Reservoir area. The purpose of the RMP is to provide for more proactive management of resources and uses of land.

Public input on the draft EA and RMP will be accepted for a 45-day public review and comment period beginning on September 9, 2005. Written comments are due to Alan Schroeder by October 24, 2005.
