Environmental Documents Available for the Renewal of the Feather Water District CVP Long-Term Water Service Contract

The Bureau of Reclamation announces the availability of the Final Environmental Assessment (EA) and the Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Central Valley Project (CVP) long-term water service contract between Reclamation and the Feather Water District. The proposed contract is for the delivery of up to 20,000 acre-feet of CVP replacement water to the Feather Water District for 25 years.

The EA and FONSI were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and are available at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/cvpia/3404c/env_docs/final_ea_fonsi/index.html; scroll to Feather Water District Final EA and FONSI. The documents may also be reviewed at Reclamation’s Red Bluff Division Office, 22500 Altube Road, Red Bluff, California.

On July 2, 2004, a 60-day public review and comment period was initiated for the associated long-term CVP water service contract for the Feather Water District.
