Proposed Contract with Colusa County Water District Available for 60-Day Public Review and Comment

The Bureau of Reclamation and the Colusa County Water District have completed negotiations for a contract under the Warren Act for the use of Reclamation's Tehama-Colusa Canal to convey up to 4,500 acre-feet of non-project water when excess capacity exists. The contract has a term of 10 years and is available for a 60-day public review and comment period.

The Warren Act of February 21, 1911, authorized the United States to execute contracts for the conveyance and storage of non-project water in Federal facilities when excess capacity exists.
