Reclamation Offers Up To $1,000 Reward For Information On Vandalism Of Power Transformer In Klamath Basin Project

Reclamation has activated its Crime Witness Program and is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator of an incident at Pumping Plant F located east of Highway 97, just north of Midland Road in the Klamath Basin Project, Klamath County, Oregon, on Wednesday, October 22, 2003, between 6-8 a.m. Employees from a local irrigation district noticed a lack of water delivery to one of its locations. As they investigated the area, they discovered that someone had shot a PacifiCorp power transformer, taking it out of service. The transformer is dedicated for use by the pumping plant.
