Reclamation announces public comment period for Placer County Water Agency draft interim renewal water service contract

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation proposes to execute a Central Valley Project interim renewal water service contract for a two-year term to begin March 1, 2020, with Placer County Water Agency. Public comments are due by Tuesday, February 18, 2020. The existing interim renewal water service contract will expire on February 29, 2020. The proposed contract will allow Reclamation to continue providing water service to Placer County Water Agency until a long-term renewal contract can be executed.

Execution of the proposed contract requires appropriate environmental documentation pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act. A draft environmental assessment has been released separately for public review and comment.
