The Bureau of Reclamation and Fish and Wildlife Service announce availability of the Final Central Valley Project Improvement Act (CVPIA) "10 Years of Progress" report. The report is available in a 30-page summary and the full 120-page document that compile the Department of the Interior's (Interior) actions from 1993 - 2002 (10 years) to implement the CVPIA (Title 34 of Public Law 102-575), an act passed by Congress on October 30, 1992.

In 1993, the Secretary of the Interior assigned primary responsibility for implementing CVPIA's many provisions to the Bureau of Reclamation and the Fish and Wildlife Service. The report is intended to provide the general public, and those more familiar with CVPIA, an overview of what has been accomplished since passage of this landmark legislation.

The "CVPIA 10 Years of Progress" report is available online at: www.usbr.gov/mp/cvpia/index.html. Click on the "documents" link on the left side of the page, and then click on either of the two documents on the right side of the page.
