Reclamation releases final environmental document for El Dorado County Water Agency long-term water service contract

FOLSOM, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation has issued the final environmental impact statement for the El Dorado County Water Agency long-term water service contract. The contract will provide water to serve existing and future municipal and industrial water needs in El Dorado County.

Up to 15,000 acre-feet annually of Central Valley Project municipal and industrial water will be available to EDCWA for diversion from Folsom Reservoir, or from an exchange on the American River upstream from Folsom Reservoir under this new contract. This contract will also address the need for new water supply for El Dorado County.

The final environmental impact statement was prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, and is available at https://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=26
