FOLSOM, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation issued final environmental documents authorizing the 27-year Warren Act contract with Sacramento Suburban Water District. The long-term contract allows for conveyance through Folsom Reservoir in wet years.

Reclamation received one comment letter on the Draft Environmental Assessment, and the responses are included in the Finding of No Significant Impact. With the release of these final environmental documents, Reclamation may now issue a “wet-year only” contract for Sacramento Suburban Water District to convey 29,000 acre-feet per year of Middle-Fork Project water through Folsom Reservoir for municipal and industrial uses in northern Sacramento.

The final Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and are available here. For additional information or to request a copy of the documents, please contact Bonnie Van Pelt at 916-537-7062.
