Final document on water purchase agreement for San Luis National Wildlife Refuge Complex

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation proposes to purchase up to 6,000 acre-feet of groundwater from Modesto Properties for the East Bear Creek Unit of the San Luis National Wildlife Refuge Complex, under the authorization of the Central Valley Project Improvement Act.

Reclamation has prepared a Finding of No Significant Impact which details Reclamation’s proposed action to enter into a one year agreement with Modesto Properties for the purchase of groundwater beginning fall of 2018.

The FONSI was prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and is available at https://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=26827.
