Reclamation releases draft environmental document on recycled water for San Luis National Wildlife Refuge

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation has released a draft environmental document for public review on a proposal to purchase up to 6,000 acre-feet of recycled water for the East Bear Creek Unit of the San Luis National Wildlife Refuge Complex, under Central Valley Project Improvement Act authorization.

The draft Environmental Assessment details Reclamation’s proposed action to enter into a one-year agreement, with possible extensions up to five years, with Santa Rita Water, LLC, beginning fall 2018.

The draft EA was prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and is available at https://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=34601.
