News Media Event - Full Lake Creates Recreation Opportunities at Folsom This Summer

A news media event will take place on Tuesday, June 28, 2005, to provide information on this year's recreational opportunities at Folsom Lake.

News media will have the opportunity to interview officials from the Bureau of Reclamation, and the State departments of Parks and Recreation and Boating and Waterways. A patrol boat will be on hand to take news media onto the lake for additional photography and video angles.

The news media event will take place:

Tuesday, June 28, 2005 10 a.m. Folsom Point

Recreation at Folsom Lake is managed by the California Department of Parks and Recreation under agreement with Reclamation. Folsom Lake is one of the most heavily visited parks in the State, with more than 2.7 million visits per year.

Directions: Highway 50 Eastbound from Sacramento to Folsom. Take the Folsom Blvd exit and turn left onto Folsom Blvd. Continue to the second stoplight and turn right onto Blue Ravine Road. Continue on Blue Ravine Road until reaching East Natoma Street. Turn left on E. Natoma and then take the first right into Folsom Point Road into the park.
