Reclamation releases draft environmental documents for Ivanhoe Irrigation District five-year Warren Act Agreement for Kaweah River water

FRESNO, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation has released for public review the Draft Environmental Assessment and Draft Finding of No Significant Impact for a proposed five-year Warren Act Agreement with Ivanhoe Irrigation District.

The agreement would allow the annual introduction and conveyance in the Friant-Kern Canal of up to 6,500 acre-feet of non-Central Valley Project Kaweah River water purchased by Ivanhoe Irrigation District from Wutchumna Water Company, Longs Ditch Company, Foothill Ditch Company, Hamilton Ditch Company, and Hawkeye Ditch Company. The purchased water would be used to supplement available water supplies for existing agricultural purposes within Ivanhoe Irrigation District.
