Reclamation Releases Environmental Document for the Kern County Water Agency Improvement District No. 4 Cross Valley Canal Extension

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation proposes to provide $1 million of federal funding to Kern County Water Agency ID4, through a WaterSMART Program grant. The funding will be used to install a fiber-reinforced concrete lining to a one-mile section of the CVC Extension. It is anticipated the project would reduce seepage losses by approximately 2,300 acre feet on an average annual basis.
