Boulder City, Nev. — The Bureau of Reclamation’s Lower Colorado Region today issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) and Final Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Right-of-Use Downgradient Study Activities for study projects occurring on Reclamation-managed land near the Las Vegas Wash.

The Final EA details Reclamation’s proposed issuance of the right-of-use permit for activities conducted by the Nevada Environmental Response Trust. The FONSI documents that implementation of the Proposed Action will not have a significant impact on any resources evaluated in the EA.

The Draft EA was issued for public review in January 2018. The Final EA includes all comments received on the Draft EA. The FONSI and EA, which were prepared in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act, are available on Reclamation’s website at: http://www.usbr.gov/lc/region/g2000/envdocs.html. To request a compact disk or paper copy of the FONSI and EA, or for questions, please contact Heidi McMaster, Environmental Protection Specialist, at 702-293-8560.
