Reclamation released draft environmental document for five-year Warren Act groundwater conveyance contracts in the Tehama-Colusa Canal

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation has released the Draft Environmental Assessment for proposed five-year Warren Act contracts with water service contractors within the Sacramento Canals Unit of the Central Valley Project.

The contracts will convey up to 86,200 acre-feet of groundwater per contract year in the Tehama-Colusa Canal to downstream users. The proposal will allow Reclamation to establish new contracts along the TCC from March 2018 through February 2023.

The Draft EA is available at https://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=32063 and will be available for public comment for a 10-day review period.
