Reclamation releases draft environmental documents for the Hills Valley Irrigation District five-year Warren Act agreement for Kings River water

FRESNO, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation has released for public review the draft Environmental Assessment and draft Finding of No Significant Impact for a proposed five-year Warren Act Agreement with Hills Valley Irrigation District.

Reclamation proposes to execute a five-year Warren Act contract with Hills Valley for the introduction and conveyance of up to 2,500 acre-feet per year of non-Central Valley Project Kings River water that will be purchased from Alta Irrigation District.

The draft EA and FONSI were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, and are available at https://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=31681.
