Reclamation Releases draft environmental documents for eight Cross Valley Interim Renewal Contracts

FRESNO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation has released for public review the Draft Environmental Assessment and Draft Finding of No Significant Impact for eight Cross Valley Interim Renewal Contracts. The contracts include County of Fresno, County of Tulare, Hills Valley Irrigation District, Kern-Tulare Water District, Kern-Tulare Water District (from Rag Gulch Water District), Lower Tule River Irrigation District, Pixley Irrigation District, and Tri-Valley Water District. Interim renewal contracts provide a bridge between the expiration of the original long-term water service contracts and the long-term renewal of those contracts, consistent with section 3404(c) of the Central Valley Project Improvement Act.

The Draft EA and FONSI were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, and are available at https://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=31721.
