Visitors invited to recreation events around Lake Berryessa

NAPA, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation announces winter events at Lake Berryessa in Napa County. All activities are free of charge and children are welcome, however those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Wild About Wetlands exhibit
Through March 31: Saturdays/Sundays, noon to 3 p.m.
Dufer Point Visitor Center
Stop in to the Dufer Point Visitor Center with your questions and to view the Wild about Wetlands exhibit on loan from the Effie Yeaw Nature Center, which is located in Carmichael, California. The exhibit shows the importance of wetlands in filtering water and providing a location for habitat and recreation. Park rangers are also available to answer questions about natural resources, recreational opportunities, wildlife and the area’s history. Brochures, maps, trail guides, and other educational information are available free of charge.

Winters Salmon Festival
Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Rotary Park, Winters, CA
Join Reclamation, the Solano County Water Agency, Solano County Parks and Pacific Gas & Electric in celebrating the return of salmon to Putah Creek. Activities at Rotary Park in downtown Winters, California will include face painting, live music, a silent auction, storytelling, fly casting, and food and beverage vendors. National Public Lands Day
Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017
Herms District Boy Scouts will team up with Lake Berryessa rangers to maintain trails around the Dufer Point Visitor Center’s existing native plant display. If you have an interest in volunteering on public land improvement projects at the lake, please contact Jennifer Onufer at 707-966-2111 ext. 112.
