SACRAMENTO, Calif. The Bureau of Reclamation proposes to construct a new boat launch facility at Stony Gorge Reservoir, 100 miles northwest of Sacramento in Glenn County.   Stony Gorge Reservoir gets about 20,000 visitors each year. The existing boat launch facility at Skippers Point, on the reservoir’s east side, was installed 25 years ago and is the only boat launch facility on the reservoir. This replacement project includes construction of a new single-lane boat ramp, ADA-compliant dock, paved parking area, sidewalk and access road, and repair of the existing launch for use in launching non-motorized craft. Funding for the project would be provided by grants from the California State Parks Division of Boating and Waterways. Construction is anticipated to begin in September 2018 and would take approximately two months to complete.   The draft Environmental Assessment was prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and is available at https://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=30061.
