SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation proposes to construct a boat launch facility at East Park Reservoir, 75 miles northwest of Sacramento in Colusa County.

East Park Reservoir receives approximately 32,000 visitors each year and there are currently no boat launch facilities. Visitors launch their boats directly from the shoreline, which increases the risk of accidents and the potential for shoreline erosion. The proposed boat launch facility would be constructed at Rattlesnake Point on the reservoir’s east side. The project includes construction of a single-lane boat ramp, dock, paved parking area, sidewalk and access road. Funding for the project would be provided by grants from the California State Parks Division of Boating and Waterways. Construction is anticipated to begin in September 2018 and would take approximately two months to complete.
