CARSON CITY, Nev. - The Bureau of Reclamation and the Truckee-Carson Irrigation District have completed negotiations on a repayment contract for pre-construction costs associated with extraordinary maintenance on the Truckee Canal.

The Truckee-Carson Irrigation District will agree to repay Reclamation based on the negotiated terms of the contract. The pre-construction costs in the contract include National Environmental Policy Act compliance, studies for corrective actions and feasibility, along with risk assessment and design work associated with major non-recurring maintenance of the Truckee Canal.
