REDDING, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation announces the closure of Keswick Dam Road across Keswick Dam from 7 a.m. Aug. 1 until 7 p.m. Aug. 2. Keswick Dam is located on the Sacramento River, two miles northwest of Redding.

The closure is required to safely perform maintenance work on the Keswick fish trap hopper. The fish trap is used to capture and transport fish to the Coleman National Fish Hatchery, 25 miles downstream on Battle Creek or Livingston Stone National Fish Hatchery, located just below Shasta Dam.

Please plan to take an alternate route and allow additional time around this area.
