FOLSOM, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation signed a Finding of No Significant Impact for providing a WaterSMART Program grant to the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) to implement Advanced Metering and Water Conservation Improvements. EBMUD will use the WaterSMART Program grant to replace approximately 3,000 water meters on existing service connections, and the purchase and installation of acoustic leak detection sensors and pressure sensors. Once completed, the project would conserve approximately 1,680 acre-feet of water annually.
