FRESNO, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation has released the Final Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for the proposed Santa Clara Valley Water District's 2017 Pacheco Conduit Maintenance Project.

The Santa Clara Valley Water District has requested authorization from Reclamation to perform inspections; conduct routine maintenance; and to rehabilitate the Pacheco Conduit, Santa Clara Conduit, and Santa Clara Tunnel. This is necessary to increase reliability and functionality, and to ensure these facilities continue to transport water between the San Luis Reservoir and Santa Clara and San Benito counties.
