Reclamation’s Mid-Pacific Region Names Travis Aberle as Assistant Regional Director

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation’s Mid-Pacific Region has selected Travis Aberle as the Assistant Regional Director for Business Services.

“Travis is a strong leader and a dedicated public servant, and we are pleased to have him in this new role,” said Acting Regional Director Pablo Arroyave. “His personnel management abilities, exceptional labor relations skills and leadership experience make him uniquely qualified for this critical position.”

As the Assistant Regional Director for Business Services, Aberle oversees human resources, financial management and audit liaison and review functions, information technology and systems security, acquisition, property management, records management, and numerous administrative functions for the Region. He also coordinates and integrates program level efforts between all levels of the organization and develops annual and long-term strategic plans to maximize support for Regional programs. He serves as the Region’s senior representative on Reclamation’s Chief Financial Officer’s Council.

Prior to joining Reclamation, Aberle served with the U.S. Air Force for nearly eight years on active duty and performed extensive work as an instructor in law enforcement and security. Aberle recently served as a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist providing managers at all levels support and management advisory services in employee and labor relations, as well as staffing and reclassification.

Aberle earned a Bachelor’s Degree from California State University Sacramento in 2009 with a concentration in government.

Aberle feels strongly about an engaged civil service and made a commitment following his military service to serve the public. He and his wife Leslie reside in Sacramento, California.
