DURANGO, Colo. – The Bureau of Reclamation is hosting a public meeting about Navajo Dam Water Operations on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 6 p.m. at the Farmington Civic Center, 200 W Arrington Street in Farmington, New Mexico.

The meeting will provide information on predicted spring 2017 operations and releases from Navajo Dam and the projected spring peak release to the San Juan River. High flow releases from Navajo Dam are necessary to maintain channel capacity in case of flooding, create storage space in Navajo Dam, and comply with Endangered Species Act requirements.

Additional information about Navajo Dam and Reservoir and spring peak releases are available at www.usbr.gov/uc/water/crsp/cs/nvd.html.
