NAPA, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation’s Central California Area Office will reopen the Capell Cove Boat Launch at Lake Berryessa on Friday, March 3, 2017. Reclamation closed the boat launch on February 22, 2017, when heavy rains caused the lake surface to rise above the ramp and into the parking lot, creating unsafe conditions to launch boats. The boat launch is now accessible due to improved conditions.

For the 2017 recreation season, five of the seven recreation areas at Lake Berryessa will be open, with ramps available for visitor use at Pleasure Cove Marina, Markley Cove Resort, and the Putah Canyon, Steele Canyon and Spanish Flat recreation areas. Please find the locations of these areas on the map at www.usbr.gov/mp/ccao/berryessa/maps/berryessa-map.pdf .
