Reclamation Continues Contract Negotiations for the Conversion of Water from the Pine River Project

The second in a series of negotiation meetings will be held to discuss the terms of a contract between the Pine River Irrigation District and the Bureau of Reclamation for the use of Pine River Project Water from Vallecito Reservoir. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the Bayfield Public Library at 395 Center Drive in Bayfield, Colorado.

The contract will establish the terms and conditions for the proposed conversion of Pine River Project Water from irrigation to other miscellaneous purposes and uses.

The negotiations are open to the public. At the meetings, the public will have the opportunity to ask questions and offer comments pertaining to the contract at the end of the negotiation session. The proposed contract and other pertinent documents will be available at the negotiation meeting.
