Reclamation Announces Long-Term Concession Contract Finalized for Markley Cove Resort at Lake Berryessa

NAPA, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation announces that FX10 International Inc. has signed a long-term contract for the Markley Cove Resort business opportunity at Lake Berryessa in Napa County. The principal shareholders for FX10 International, John and Linda Frazier, have operated Markley Cove for 29 years; since 2009, they have operated under a series of interim contracts with Reclamation.

The business opportunity was advertised in May 2016, and the bid period closed in July. Reclamation announced FX10 as the selected bidder in September 2016 and has been in contract negotiations with the Frazier’s since October; the long-term contract was signed on Jan. 31, 2017. The Frazier’s will operate Markley Cove for a term of 30 years, with a possible 10-year extension. The Markley Cove concession area provides a full-service marina, boat launch ramps, boat rental, marine fuel, dry boat storage, retail sales, lodging, etc. Please visit the Markley Cove website at http://www.markleycove.com/.

Lake Berryessa is operated by Reclamation’s Central California Area Office (CCAO) as part of the Solano Project. CCAO-managed facilities at the lake include the Dufer Point Visitor Center, Capell Cove Boat Launch, a hand-launch ramp at the Eticuera Day Use Area, and the popular Oak Shores and Smittle Creek Day Use Areas for picnicking, fishing, swimming and hiking.
