Reclamation and the City of Fernley Cancel Negotiation Session for a Water Storage Contract

CARSON CITY, Nev. - The Bureau of Reclamation and the city of Fernley have cancelled the May 16 negotiation session for a water storage contract. Additional negotiation sessions are anticipated to be scheduled for July 2016.
Under Title II of Public Law 101-618 Section 205(b)1, Reclamation is authorized to enter into contracts for the use of space in Truckee River reservoirs. Contracts must be consistent with terms and conditions defined in the Truckee River Operating Agreement.
