Has the recent drought piqued your interest in Ruedi Reservoir operations? If so, then May 5, 2005 is a date to put on the calendar. On the 5th, the Bureau of Reclamation will host its annual Ruedi Reservoir operations public meeting.

The May 5th meeting will be held at the Basalt Town Hall, 101 Midland Avenue, Basalt, from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

The primary focus of the meeting will be on Ruedi Reservoir's operations over the past water year (2004) and projected operations for the current water year (2005). Other topics relevant to Ruedi Reservoir and the Fryingpan-Arkansas project are also on this year's agenda. They include topics like the marketing of Ruedi water to the west slope and a brief review of programs that might influence releases from Ruedi Reservoir to the Fryingpan River.

As always, the meeting will conclude with a public question and answer session.
