For Release: March 17, 2016
NAPA, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation’s Central California Area Office will reopen the Capell Cove Launch Ramp at Lake Berryessa effective Friday, March 18. Reclamation closed the ramp on July 20, 2015, when drought conditions and receding water levels caused it to become unusable. Lake levels have now risen to the point where the launch ramp can be re-opened.
For the 2016 recreation season, five of the seven recreation areas at Lake Berryessa will be open, with ramps available for visitor use at Pleasure Cove Marina, Markley Cove Resort, and the Putah Canyon, Steele Canyon and Spanish Flat recreation areas. Please find the locations of these areas on the map at www.usbr.gov/mp/ccao/berryessa/maps/berryessa-map.pdf.
